What the preset tells the model
The preset locks point of view to one protagonist per chapter and only lets it switch at chapter breaks, which is what keeps a multi-thread plot readable.
It also tells the model to withhold what the protagonist does not know, so the reader catches up with the character rather than getting ahead of them, the difference between suspense and a summary.
Sentence rhythm is part of the instruction: short during action, longer in reflection. Picking the preset pre-fills that tone so you do not have to describe it.
