Self-help preset
Write a self-help book with AI that gives people something to do.
The Self-help preset is blunt about the genre's weakness. It asks for specific tactics rather than platitudes, its own example prefers 'write three lines in a notebook before checking your phone' to 'be more mindful', and it ends every chapter with a small action the reader can actually take.
- Tone the preset sets
- Direct, kind, evidence-based; no toxic positivity
- Written for
- Readers seeking practical change
What the preset tells the model
The set tone is direct, kind and evidence-based with no toxic positivity, and the prompt tells the model to acknowledge the messy reality and name the resistance instead of 'just do this' energy.
Your method is the book. The premise and notes carry your steps and stories; the approved outline turns them into a sequence a reader can follow.
As non-fiction it carries the shared rules: plain language, one idea per paragraph, and a hard rule against invented studies, statistics or quotations.
The Self-help directives, verbatim
- 01Specific tactics, not platitudes. "Write three lines in a notebook before checking your phone" beats "be more mindful."
- 02Cite the underlying study or source whenever you make a claim.
- 03Acknowledge the messy reality. Avoid "just do this" energy — name the resistance.
- 04Each chapter ends with a small, doable action.

Good to know first
- The model will not fabricate research to back a claim and does not look sources up. Where you want a study cited, add the reference yourself in the Write Studio.
- It is not a substitute for professional advice, and it writes what you ask; the responsibility for medical, financial or legal claims in your book is yours.
- Self-help books write as non-fiction on Pro or Ultra Max; a Pro book of 5 to 12 chapters is 300,000 credits and includes the editor, cover and audiobook tools.

Common questions
Will it just produce generic advice?
The preset is written against exactly that: specific tactics over platitudes, the resistance named, one doable action per chapter. The more specific your own method and stories are in the notes, the less generic the book.
Can it include exercises and worksheets?
It can write step-by-step exercises and end-of-chapter actions as prose and lists. It does not lay out fillable worksheets; format those after exporting to DOCX.
Does it add references or studies?
No. Inventing sources is forbidden in the prompt and the model has no retrieval, so it makes claims plainly rather than with a fabricated citation. You add real references in the editor.
