What the preset tells the model
The preset bans exposition dumps: the world is shown through things characters use, argue about and pay for, and the strange is treated as ordinary by the people who live in it, so the reader works it out the way they would in a good novel.
Names and place-names must be pronounceable on first read, a small rule that removes the most common tell of generated fantasy.
On Pro and Ultra Max each chapter is written against your characters-and-world notes plus summaries of the last ten chapters, which is what lets a 30-chapter epic remember what it established in chapter two.

Good to know first
- One preset covers both fantasy and science fiction. Your premise and tone decide which it is; for hard science fiction or grimdark, say so in the premise and it becomes an explicit directive in every chapter.
- Epic (20 chapters) and Novel (30 chapters) lengths are on Pro plans; Lite and Standard plans write up to 12 chapters per book and can extend a book afterwards with Continue Book.
- Maps, glossaries and appendices are not generated. The story bible holds names, places and rules, and you can export it with your data.

Common questions
Can I give it my own magic system or world?
Yes. Paste your characters, places and rules into the characters-and-world field before generating; they are seeded into the story bible so chapter one already knows them. Up to 24,000 characters of notes are accepted.
How long can a fantasy novel be?
Ultra Max writes 5 to 30 chapters in one run, roughly 75,000 to 105,000 words at the Novel length, and Continue Book can add up to twelve more chapters afterwards.
Does it handle science fiction as well as fantasy?
The same preset covers both. Its rules, worldbuild through specifics, costed and consistent systems, pronounceable names, apply equally to a starship and a sorcerer.
