Guide

How to get printed copies of your book

You can order printed copies of any book in your ScribistIQ library, whether you generated it, wrote it in the Studio or imported it, as a 6×9 paperback or hardcover shipped to the United States or Canada. These are copies for you: to read, give or proofread on paper. Selling a printed book in stores is a different route, covered in our publishing guide.

The short answer

  • $39 for the first copy and $19 for each extra, for books up to 300 pages. Hardcover adds $20 a copy.
  • The interior is typeset for you and the cover is a full wrap built from your cover art and back-cover text.
  • Preview the exact book before you order. The total, shipping included, shows before you pay.
  • For subscribers on a paid plan, not during a trial. Paid by card for each order, not with credits.

From your library to a book in your hands

Every step below is what the app does today, checked against the product on October 7, 2026.

  1. 01

    Get the book ready

Read it through first: the interior is typeset from your chapters exactly as they are. The book needs a cover, and back-cover text unless the back is artwork only. Covers can be generated, designed or uploaded in the cover tools.

  2. 02

    Open the print page

Choose Printed book in the app's sidebar, or Order printed copy on the book's page in your library.

  3. 03

    Preview it

Choose Preview my book to see the exact interior and cover wrap that will print, watermarked as a preview.

  4. 04

    Choose the options

Paperback or hardcover, white or cream paper, matte or glossy cover, the number of copies, and the author name to print on it.

  5. 05

    Add the address and pay

Enter a shipping address in the United States or Canada. The quote shows the price of the copies, shipping and the total, and you pay by card.

  6. 06

    Track it

You get emails as the order moves through printing and shipping, with tracking once it ships. Most US orders arrive in about one to three weeks.

Shipping speed is chosen for you

The shipping service is picked automatically for your address. You see a general estimate before paying and the real dates once it ships.
